“Beta updates” are pre-release builds of Textual for public testing.
If you like to live on the edge and do not mind a few bugs while doing so, then beta updates are perfect for you!
Download the Beta
To install the latest beta, follow the steps presented below:

The original beta workflow offered free migration from the Mac App Store version. Migration remains under consideration under Blendbyte; see current licensing guidance before switching distributions.

Download the latest beta build from the former Codeux beta endpoint, which has retired. See News for any future beta announcements

Install the latest beta build somewhere you can easily access it. Replacing your existing copy of Textual is discouraged in case a beta update contains a bug which results in the app repeatedly crashing.

Open Preferences using the keyboard combination Command Comma
