Historical reference: using a direct purchase with the Mac App Store version.
A reference from an earlier chapter
This material preserves the original Textual documentation and may describe older versions, former services, or superseded policies. It is not a statement of current availability or new Blendbyte commitments.
For current guidance: Downloads, updates, and compatibility, Licences and the App Store transition.
Current guidance: Older Textual builds link to this article when the Mac App Store version is used with a licence bought directly. Licences bought directly, including from our checkout, activate the standalone version, which you can download here. Keep your Mac App Store copy until the standalone version is working. See current licensing guidance and contact us if activation fails.
Textual is available for purchase from two separate locations. The first location is the Mac App Store. The second location is codeux.com.
The location at which you purchase Textual is also where you must download it. They cannot be mixed and matched.
You have been linked to this knowledge base article because you downloaded Textual from the Mac App Store but purchased it at codeux.com.
To take full advantage of your purchase, you will need to download and install the standalone version of Textual. You can begin by clicking the button presented below.
